March 8, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce Futbol Club Millennium as a new league member kicking off with the 2019 Spring Season.

Based in Hyattsville (Md.), FC Millennium will begin play in the UPSL Southeast Conference Mid-Atlantic Division, and will play its home games at Huerich Park (2800 Nicholson St., Hyattsville, MD 20782) in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Mid-Atlantic Division Manager Andy Salandy said, "We are very happy to welcome FC Millennium to the UPSL's Mid-Atlantic Division. FC Millennium is a club that is growing very fast in its community and is starting to gain attention for success on the field. Owner Erick Colindres is a soccer man and he believes in his program - which has already increased players participation three-fold in the last two years! We are excited by the club's prospect for the future, and wish them the best this season."

Erick Colindres is the Founder and Owner of Futbol Club Millennium, a competitive club with more than 10 teams from U8-U17. A native of Guatemala, Colindres is a business owner and a long-time coach in central Maryland.

FC Millennium Owner Elick Colindres said, "We are a club dedicated to developing any player from zero-to-competitive, and we see so much talent in our area but there are no opportunities for them to show and shine for any other professional clubs. Creating a Pro Development team will give our youth teams a bigger window to find opportunities to give our players more chances to be seen by college or professional scouts."

Erick Colindres, Jr., was a three-year varsity player and team captain during his senior season at Riverdale (Md.)'s Parkdale High School, and went on to play at Largo (Md.)'s Prince George Community College. He will play for FC Millennium.

The club plays Germantown City FC in its UPSL 2019 Spring Season opener on Saturday, March 9.
